Spring 2011 | Volunteer Instructor
Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia)
After-school activity conducted at La Giralda School (Bogota, Colombia). This thematic club focused on introducing elementary school children to basic ideas of architecture and design through a series of hands-on challenges exploring the topic of the city and its evolution in time.
As part of a volunteering program, I partially planned and delivered an 11-weeks long after-school activity offered to 24 children in a low-income community in Bogota, Colombia. This involved following the lesson plans provided by the program’s administration for the first half of the sessions, and propose the lesson plans for the remaining sessions, adjusted to the topic and the materials available for the activity.
